George Patera vs Engin Tanir

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Bursa Atatürk Sport Hall, Bursa,  taking place on 26/02/2024:

Clearly Bos Firefighters have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on NTV Spor, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are George Patera (3 - 0) who hails from Piraeus, Greece and Engin Tanir(4 - 10 - 4) from Izmir, Turkey.  Patera weighed in at 140 pounds, while Tanir weighed in at 139 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Doruk Melen, and the three ringside judges are Cemil Elci, Ahmet Sandalli and Savas Erol.  

Round 1: 

Tanir closes the distance.  Patera connects with a right hook.  
Patera lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Patera closes the distance.  Patera voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Tanir steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.

Tanir gets on the inside.  Patera lands a double right hook to his opponents head.

Tanir feints a cross, but Patera does not fall for it and lands with a right hook.

Patera ties up his opponent.  Patera throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref breaks Patera's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Patera steps inside and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Patera lands a stinging jab.  
Patera gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Patera's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Tanir's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Tanir's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.
