Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Africa-Gauteng promoted show at Gold Reef Entertainment Centre, Johannesburg,  taking place on 13/03/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Southern African Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Okapi Ametepey (11 - 0) who hails from Cape Town, South Africa and Banji Sobukwe(13(1) - 1) from Soweto, South Africa.  Ametepey weighed in at 134 pounds and 13 ounces, while Sobukwe weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Quannell Poku, and the three ringside judges are Peter Oosthuizen, Mzikayise Tlolane and Roos Van der Linde.
