Felix Swain vs Hewlett Scherf

Boxing Daily Report from the Rattlesnake Promotions promoted show at Palladium Ballroom, Dallas,  taking place on 23/03/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Felix Swain (4 - 0) who hails from Moreno Valley, USA and Hewlett Scherf(2 - 3 - 1) from Hamburg, Germany.  Swain weighed in at 174 pounds and 12 ounces, while Scherf weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Amon East, and the three ringside judges are Johnny Cornejo, Faisal Rasul and Arthur Kinna.  

Round 1: 

Swain gets on the inside.  Swain pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.

Scherf manouvers Swain into the red corner.  Scherf pivots to the right of his opponent.  Swain hits home with a cross.  
Scherf steps to the outside.  Swain quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Swain closes the distance.  Swain quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Swain voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Scherf is whaling away with hooks, but Swain keeps his defence tight.  Scherf drives a cross into his opponents body.  
Scherf steps to the outside.  Swain lands a cross.  Swain tries to land a cross, but Scherf slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.
