Boxing Daily Report from the Rattlesnake Promotions promoted show at Rattlesnake Gym, Arlington,  taking place on 02/03/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Atif Salim (4 - 0) who hails from Moreno Valley, USA and Jacob Carrothers(2 - 1 - 3) from Dallas, USA.  Salim weighed in at 153 pounds And 11 ounces, while Carrothers weighed in at 153 pounds And 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Sid Hackney, and the three ringside judges are Robert Corfield, Spencer Aurelio and Brett Sproule.  

Round 1: 

Salim switches the action to the outside.  Salim feints a cross, and then lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Carrothers throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  
Salim quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Carrothers tries to land a left hook, but Salim blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Salim steps inside.  Salim sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with a solid right hook.  
Carrothers gets on the inside and walks Salim onto the ropes.  Salim lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  
Carrothers quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Salim hits home with a cross.  
Salim forces Carrothers to retreat into the corner.  Salim connects with a firm right hook.  
Carrothers throws a right hook, but Salim clinches his opponent.  Salim leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Salim pushes his forearm into Carrothers's face.  The ref breaks Salim's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Salim is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Salim sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Salim lands a jab followed by  two overhand rights to his opponents head.  
Salim gets on the inside and digs in a right hook to Carrothers's body.  
Salim quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Salim is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.

Salim connects with an overhand right.  
Salim is looking to close the distance.  Salim pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Salim lands a firm left uppercut.  Salim clinches his opponent.  Carrothers pushes his forearm into Salim's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Carrothers about fouling.  
Carrothers throws a left hook, but Salim holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Salim pushes his forearm into Carrothers's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Salim quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a sharp right hook to Carrothers's ribcage.  
Salim pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Carrothers closes the distance.  Carrothers pivots to the left of his opponent andAs Salim tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Carrothers dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Salim switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand right, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Carrothers gets on the inside.  Salim pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Salim lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Salim steps away from his opponent and lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Salim tries to keep the action at long range and lands a cross to the head followed by a jab to the body.  
Salim steps inside.  Carrothers is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.

Salim is looking to close the distance and throws a left hook, but his opponent steps away from the shot.  Salim clinches his opponent.  Salim leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Salim's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Salim lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Salim is looking to keep his distance and lands a jab.  
Salim lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Carrothers.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
