Stephen McTaggart vs Dave Rowan

Boxing Daily Report from the Ten Count Promotions promoted show at Ten Gym, Hull,  taking place on 08/03/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Stephen McTaggart (4 - 0) who hails from Wolverhampton, UK and Dave Rowan(11 - 5(1) - 1) from Nottingham, UK.  Both McTaggart and Rowan weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Justin Donne, and the three ringside judges are Arnie Berne, Michael Munhall and Mark Stoddart.  

Round 1: 

McTaggart pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a jab.  
McTaggart advances into close range.  Rowan pivots to the right of his opponent.  McTaggart lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
McTaggart lands a cross to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Rowan contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  McTaggart lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
McTaggart is looking to close the distance and digs in a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
McTaggart drives a firm left hook into Rowan's body.  McTaggart holds on to his opponent.  McTaggart is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Rowan feints a jab, but McTaggart is not fooled and lands with a cross.  
McTaggart advances into close range and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  McTaggart ties up his opponent.  McTaggart pushes his forearm into Rowan's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures McTaggart about fouling.  
McTaggart is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
McTaggart gets on the inside and forces Rowan to retreat into a corner.  McTaggart digs in a left uppercut to Rowan's body.  
McTaggart digs in a sharp left hook to Rowan's body.

McTaggart pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Rowan steps away from his opponent.  McTaggart lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
McTaggart cuts off the ring, trapping Rowan in the blue corner.  McTaggart lands a straight 1 - 2.  
McTaggart advances into close range and throws a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
McTaggart digs in a left hook to Rowan's body.  
McTaggart lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
McTaggart is on target with a cross to Rowan's body.  
McTaggart cuts off the ring, trapping Rowan in the red corner.  McTaggart lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
McTaggart lands a left hook followed by  two right hooks to his opponents body.  
McTaggart gets on the inside and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.

McTaggart pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a right uppercut.  
At the end of Round 3, lets listen in on the corners...Rowan's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Rowan's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
