Merrill Olin vs Mardian Bernanos

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at Royal Dublin Society, Dublin,  taking place on 05/04/2024:

Clearly Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Merrill Olin (17(10) - 0) who hails from Saint-Denis, France and Mardian Bernanos(6 - 4) from Orleans, France.  Both Olin and Bernanos weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mel Mohan, and the three ringside judges are Karl Leary, Lewis MacNevin and Killian Bourne.  

Round 1: 

Bernanos attempts to land a jab, but Olin sidesteps and counters with a cross.

Olin feints a left, and then snaps his opponents head back with a stiff jab.

Olin lands with a ramrod jab.  
Olin lands a solid jab.  
Olin quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Bernanos hits home with a left hook.  
Olin tries to step out of his opponents range.  Olin feints a right, and then lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Olin is looking to keep his distance and lands a jab.  
Bernanos forces Olin to retreat onto the ropes.  Bernanos is on target with a right hook.  
Olin is looking to keep his distance and lands two jabs to the body, and one to the head.  
Olin finds the target with a ramrod jab.

Bernanos closes the distance and throws a right hook, but Olin holds on to his opponent.  Olin leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Olin's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Bernanos gets on the inside.  Olin pivots to the side of his opponent.  Bernanos throws a right hook, but Olin holds on to his opponent.  Olin tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Bernanos's kidney. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Olin about fouling.  
Olin tries to keep the action at long range and is on target with a jab.  
Bernanos steps inside.  Olin leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Bernanos accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Olin.  
Olin tries to step out of his opponents range and lands two straights followed by an overhand left to his opponents head.  
Bernanos pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to Olin's body.
