Daichi Nakajima vs Isamu Furuya

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Hokkaido promoted show at Sapporo Ueno, Sapporo,  taking place on 23/03/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Japan Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky-A Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Daichi Nakajima (7 - 6 - 3) who hails from Kawasaki, Japan and Isamu Furuya(10 - 3) from Sapporo, Japan.  Both Nakajima and Furuya weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jiro Yokoyama, and the three ringside judges are Aki Mizuno, Kaede Takenaka and Raiden Takamoto.  

Round 1: 

Furuya gets on the inside and digs in a left hook to Nakajima's body.  Furuya throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.

As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Nakajima dabs at his face checking for damage.
