Mitsuru Uno vs Nao Taniguchi

Boxing Daily Report from the Glove Shack promoted show at Teva Ocean Arena, Nagoya,  taking place on 25/03/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Japan-Aichi Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky-A Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mitsuru Uno (9 - 3) who hails from Kasugai, Japan and Nao Taniguchi(10 - 6 - 1) from Kasugai, Japan.  Both Uno and Taniguchi weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Isamu Tano, and the three ringside judges are Yasushi Jin, Aoi Imada and Mitsuru Yoshikawa.  

Round 1: 

Uno advances into close range and is on target with a right hook.  Uno attempts to land a right hook, but Taniguchi blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Uno hits home with a right hook.  
Uno quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a sharp jab.

Taniguchi's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Taniguchi's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Taniguchi's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
