Dario Vidal vs Alejandro Rita

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Mexico-Baja California promoted show at Ensenada Bernabe, Ensenada,  taking place on 26/03/2024:

Clearly AI Mexico-Baja California have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Mexico-Baja California Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dario Vidal (9(1) - 0) who hails from Tijuana, Mexico and Alejandro Rita(8 - 4 - 1) from Mexicali, Mexico.  Vidal weighed in at 115 pounds, while Rita weighed in at 114 pounds And 7 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Senon Andrada, and the three ringside judges are Jeraldo Toribio, Gervasio Sastre and Vicente Navarra.  

Round 1: 

Rita feints a jab, but Vidal is not fooled and responds with a solid right hook.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Rita has taken some damage there.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.

Vidal throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref ignores Rita's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Vidal sidesteps to the left of his opponent and drives a left hook into Rita's ribs.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Vidal has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
