Alen Gowans vs David Fitzgerald

Boxing Daily Report from the Ace Boxing promoted show at Saad Shaikh Gym, Cardiff,  taking place on 16/03/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Alen Gowans (2 - 0 - 1) who hails from London, UK and David Fitzgerald(8 - 6 - 2) from London, UK.  Both Gowans and Fitzgerald weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dale Carrick, and the three ringside judges are Inigo Rury, Clinton Birney and Glyn Bowen.  

Round 1: 

Gowans steps away from his opponent and lands a jab.

Gowans tries to step out of his opponents range.  Fitzgerald quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Gowans connects with a cross.  
Fitzgerald is looking to close the distance and forces Gowans to retreat into the corner.  Fitzgerald is on target with a left hook.
