Dave Kilduff vs Paul Igoe

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, Gold Coast,  taking place on 01/03/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on ABC1, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Dave Kilduff (2 - 0) who hails from Sydney, Australia and Paul Igoe(3 - 0 - 3) from Adelaide, Australia.  Both Kilduff and Igoe weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Robert Reekie, and the three ringside judges are Hugh Durie, Pepe Brunetti and Corey Pait.  

Round 1: 

Kilduff gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Kilduff closes the distance and lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Kilduff lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Igoe sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Kilduff is on target with a left hook.

Kilduff quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Kilduff throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.

Kilduff steps inside and drives a left hook into Igoe's ribs.  
Kilduff pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.
