Daiki Yoshimoto vs Yo Qu

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Tokyo Big Sight, Tokyo,  taking place on 12/04/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the East Asian Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TBS, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Daiki Yoshimoto (12(5) - 0) who hails from Nishinomiya, Japan and Yo Qu(13 - 1(1) - 1(NC)) from Xian, China.  Both Yoshimoto and Qu weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Isamu Okimoto, and the three ringside judges are Isamu Shibuya, Dai Ishikawa and Hisoka Enomoto.  

Round 1: 

Qu drives a left hook into Yoshimoto's body.

Qu steps inside and attempts to land a right hook, but Yoshimoto parries the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Yoshimoto steps to the outside and lands a stinging cross.  
Yoshimoto lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Qu lands a solid overhand left.  
Yoshimoto lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Qu advances into close range and walks Yoshimoto into a neutral corner.  Qu is on target with a right hook.  Qu attempts to land a right uppercut, but Yoshimoto parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Yoshimoto stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Yoshimoto lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND DROPS QU TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise but his legs dont respond...the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Yoshimoto!
