Jun Ming vs Ali Abid

Boxing Daily Report from the Boye Promotions promoted show at Mashhad Huie, Mashhad,  taking place on 10/04/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the Iran Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Jun Ming (13 - 1) who hails from Mashhad, Iran and Ali Abid(8 - 3 - 3) from Mashhad, Iran.  Both Ming and Abid weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Genjo Hor, and the three ringside judges are Amjad Siddiqi, Haider Abed and Jawad Jama.  

Round 1: 

Ming closes the distance.  Ming quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Abid tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Ming lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Ming leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Abid is whaling away with hooks, but Ming keeps his defence tight.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Ming dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Ming.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
