Sammy Mataka vs Vandwon Tshwete

Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Africa-Gauteng promoted show at Johannesburg Appiah, Johannesburg,  taking place on 31/03/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the South Africa-Gauteng Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Sammy Mataka (6 - 3 - 5) who hails from Soshanguve, South Africa and Vandwon Tshwete(5 - 5 - 3) from Randburg, South Africa.  Mataka weighed in at 227 pounds and 7 ounces, while Tshwete weighed in at 234 pounds and 3 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Michael Grobbelaar, and the three ringside judges are John Masina, Peter Mbalula and Charel Cilliers.
