Josef Kobza vs Kasimir Geckler

Boxing Daily Report from the JDHawks Gym promoted show at Garen Diop Gym, Bratislava,  taking place on 24/03/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Josef Kobza (4 - 0) who hails from Bratislava, Slovakia and Kasimir Geckler(4 - 1 - 2) from Dusseldorf, Germany.  Both Kobza and Geckler weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Aleron Mbow, and the three ringside judges are Saber Mbodji, Jasper Bayard and Chrestien Signate.  

Round 1: 

Kobza advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Kobza lands a left hook.  
Kobza is on target with a left hook.  
Kobza gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Kobza ties up his opponent.  Kobza tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Geckler behind the head. The referee warns Kobza and breaks the clinch.  
Kobza is on target with a cross.  
Kobza closes the distance.  Kobza pivots to the left of his opponent.  Kobza connects with a right hook.  Kobza clinches his opponent.  Kobza pushes his forearm into Geckler's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Kobza.  
Kobza lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Kobza throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Kobza lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Kobza is on target with a stinging right hook to his opponents body.  
Geckler sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Kobza advances into close range and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Kobza holds on to his opponent.  Kobza is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Kobza drives a stinging left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Kobza lands a right uppercut.  
Kobza lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Geckler hits home with a cross.  
Kobza advances into close range and walks Geckler down, trapping him on the ropes.  Kobza drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Kobza lands a left hook.  
Kobza goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Geckler's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Kobza is looking to close the distance and drives a solid left hook into his opponents body.  Kobza holds on to his opponent.  Kobza is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Kobza's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Geckler's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Geckler's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.
