Chris Cato vs Leighton Cruz

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at County Coliseum, El Paso,  taking place on 05/04/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the USA-Texas Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Chris Cato (9 - 8 - 3) who hails from Austin, USA and Leighton Cruz(5 - 6 - 5) from Dallas, USA.  Cato weighed in at 126 pounds, while Cruz weighed in at 125 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Brett Sproule, and the three ringside judges are Johnny Cornejo, Amon East and James Curto.  

Round 1:
