Lee Jernigan vs Peter McAda

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at Frank Gym, Manchester,  taking place on 11/03/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Lee Jernigan (2 - 0) who hails from London, UK and Peter McAda(2 - 2) from Sheffield, UK.  Both Jernigan and McAda weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Robert Llewellyn, and the three ringside judges are Euan Culbertson, Ronald McCauley and Kieran Saunders.  

Round 1: 

Jernigan lands a left hook.  
Jernigan manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Jernigan pivots from in front of his opponent and lands two right uppercuts to the body, and one to the head.  
Jernigan hits home with a right uppercut.  
Jernigan is on target with a left hook to McAda's ribs.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Jernigan dabs at his face checking for damage.  Jernigan has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused minor damage to the nose.  
Jernigan pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to McAda's body.  
Jernigan digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
McAda pivots from in front of his opponent.  Jernigan digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  
McAda quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Jernigan lands a right uppercut.  
McAda tries to land a jab, but Jernigan slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Jernigan digs in a right uppercut to McAda's body.  Jernigan clinches his opponent.  Jernigan leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Jernigan pushes his forearm into McAda's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Jernigan is on target with a right hook.  
Jernigan lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Jernigan lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Jernigan lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...McAda's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  McAda's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

McAda throws a right hook, but Jernigan clinches his opponent.  Jernigan is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Jernigan hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Jernigan is looking to close the distance and is on target with a right uppercut.  
McAda advances into close range.  Jernigan drives a left hook into his opponents body.  Jernigan holds on to his opponent.  Jernigan pushes his forearm into McAda's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
McAda tries to land a jab, but Jernigan slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Jernigan lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Jernigan lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
McAda gets on the inside.  Jernigan lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  Jernigan holds on to his opponent. Jernigan is looking to close the distance and is on target with a left hook to McAda's body.  
Jernigan steps inside and throws a right uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot.  Jernigan ties up his opponent.  Jernigan leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. McAda is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
