Daniel Shanklin vs Leeroy Nicolls

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at County Coliseum, El Paso,  taking place on 05/04/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the USA-SouthWest Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Daniel Shanklin (10 - 4 - 1) who hails from Tucson, USA and Leeroy Nicolls(5 - 4 - 3) from Phoenix, USA.  Both Shanklin and Nicolls weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Brett Sproule, and the three ringside judges are Johnny Cornejo, James Curto and Amon East.  

Round 1: 

Shanklin lands a cross.  
Shanklin pivots from in front of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.
