Aaron Higgins vs Dom Valditara

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at Lancashire CCC, Manchester,  taking place on 30/03/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Aaron Higgins (6 - 0) who hails from London, UK and Dom Valditara(4 - 3(1) - 2) from Derby, UK.  Both Higgins and Valditara weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kieran Saunders, and the three ringside judges are Robert Bevans, Bart McPhee and Johnny Finn.  

Round 1: 

Higgins digs in a right uppercut to Valditara's ribs.  
Valditara throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.

Higgins steps inside.  Higgins lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the head.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Valditara dabs at his face checking for damage.  Valditara has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Valditara lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Valditara tries to land a left hook, but Higgins blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Higgins is looking to close the distance and is on target with a right uppercut.
