Dag Bruun vs Max Modine

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Forum Copenhagen, Copenhagen,  taking place on 09/03/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV 2 Sport, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Dag Bruun (4 - 0) who hails from Odense, Denmark and Max Modine(5 - 7 - 3) from Stockholm, Sweden.  Both Bruun and Modine weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Steinar Winberg, and the three ringside judges are Haakon Borges, Viljo Salmonsen and Ludvig Helgesen.  

Round 1: 

Bruun feints a jab, and then lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.

Modine advances into close range.  Bruun pivots to the side of his opponent.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Bruun has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.

Bruun is looking to close the distance.  Bruun quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Bruun steps away from his opponent.  Bruun feints a left hook, and then lands with a spiteful jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Modine's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Modine's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
