Igor Silamednis vs Jussi Immonen

Boxing Daily Report from the Latvia Boxing promoted show at Latvia Gym, Riga,  taking place on 30/03/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Igor Silamednis (4 - 0) who hails from Riga, Latvia and Jussi Immonen(2 - 12 - 1) from Turku, Finland.  Silamednis weighed in at 154 pounds, while Immonen weighed in at 153 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Vasili Bogdans, and the three ringside judges are Valeri Akitis, Sergei Cesnieks and Dmitri Oshkaja.  

Round 1: 

Immonen is looking to close the distance.  Silamednis lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

Immonen gets on the inside and throws a left uppercut, but Silamednis clinches his opponent.  Silamednis leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.
