Wu-pen Leung vs Li-Liang Eng

Boxing Daily Report from the FIGHT! promoted show at Lee Peh Gym, Shanghai,  taking place on 31/03/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Wu-pen Leung (2 - 0) who hails from Beijing, China and Li-Liang Eng(9 - 8) from Shenzhen, China.  Leung weighed in at 117 pounds And 14 ounces, while Eng weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Yuan Be, and the three ringside judges are Yong Bok, Hsin Szeto and Uang Bai.  

Round 1: 

Leung closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Eng pivots from in front of his opponent.  Leung connects with a right uppercut.  
Leung advances into close range.  Leung drives a right uppercut into Eng's body.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Leung dabs at his face checking for damage.
