Michi Iwai vs Kei Nakamura

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Shinjuku FACE, Tokyo,  taking place on 16/03/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Michi Iwai (0 - 0) who hails from Higashiosaka, Japan and Kei Nakamura(1 - 0) from Kobe, Japan.  Both Iwai and Nakamura weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Isamu Kuno, and the three ringside judges are Yasushi Shishido, Ichiro Koizumi and Hiroki Amaya.  

Round 1: 

Nakamura manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Iwai lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.

Iwai pivots from in front of his opponent and drives a left hook into his opponents body.

Iwai closes the distance.  Iwai pivots from in front of his opponent and digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Iwai drives a left hook into Nakamura's body.  
Iwai advances into close range.  Nakamura sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Iwai lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Iwai steps to the outside and lands an overhand right.  
Iwai sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a jab followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Nakamura steps inside and walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Iwai drives a left hook into Nakamura's ribs.  
Iwai steps away from his opponent.  Iwai sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a sharp cross.  
Iwai pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.

Nakamura wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Iwai dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Iwai sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Nakamura hits home with a cross.  
Iwai switches the action to the outside and lands a cross.  
Nakamura lands a right hook.  
Nakamura is looking to close the distance and tries to land a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Nakamura's ribs.  
Iwai lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Iwai tries to land a jab, but Nakamura slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Nakamura advances into close range.  Iwai lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the head.

Nakamura closes the distance.  Iwai quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Iwai leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Nakamura steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.
