Chris Nivens vs Chris Kellow

Boxing Daily Report from the Rattlesnake Promotions promoted show at Palladium Ballroom, Dallas,  taking place on 23/03/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Chris Nivens (0 - 0) who hails from Cleveland, USA and Chris Kellow(1 - 1) from Irvine, USA.  Both Nivens and Kellow weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Faisal Rasul, and the three ringside judges are Arthur Kinna, Johnny Cornejo and Amon East.  

Round 1: 

Nivens steps inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Nivens sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Nivens pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Nivens walks Kellow down, trapping him in a corner.  Nivens is on target with a right hook.

Nivens throws a left hook, but the shot is blocked.  Nivens holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Nivens pushes his forearm into Kellow's face.  The ref breaks Nivens's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Nivens lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Nivens lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Nivens lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Nivens advances into close range and is on target with a firm right hook to his opponents body.  Nivens clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Nivens pushes his forearm into Kellow's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Nivens to stop fouling.

Nivens gets on the inside.  Nivens pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  Kellow wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Nivens dabs at his face checking for damage.

Kellow tries to step out of his opponents range.  Nivens lands an overhand left.  
Nivens manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Nivens digs in a solid right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Nivens lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Nivens closes the distance and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Nivens lands a sharp left uppercut.  
Kellow is on target with a right uppercut.  
Kellow is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Kellow attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Nivens's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Nivens steps inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Nivens holds on to his opponent.  Nivens uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Kellow behind the head. Nivens uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Kellow's kidney. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Kellow's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Kellow's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Kellow's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
