Sam Wallander vs Oliver Reyburn

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Gareth Flynn Gym, Milwaukee,  taking place on 04/04/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Sam Wallander (4 - 0) who hails from Minneapolis, USA and Oliver Reyburn(1 - 0 - 1) from Greensboro, USA.  Wallander weighed in at 135 pounds, while Reyburn weighed in at 134 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Sid MacLaine, and the three ringside judges are Lee Griffith, John Quirke and Andy Mateer.

Wallander sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.

Wallander quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.

Wallander steps inside and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Wallander hits home with a sharp right uppercut.  
Wallander lands a sharp jab.  
Wallander gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  
Wallander manouvers Reyburn into the red corner.  Wallander lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Wallander digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Wallander is looking to close the distance.  Wallander sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Reyburn's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Reyburn's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Wallander connects with a left hook.  Reyburn wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Wallander dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Wallander.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Wallander forces Reyburn to back into a corner.  Wallander pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook.  Wallander throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref ignores Reyburn's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Wallander advances into close range.  Reyburn tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Wallander is on target with a left hook to Reyburn's liver.  
Wallander lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Wallander lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.
