Onur Ulusoy vs Gyes Zervas

Boxing Daily Report from the Ten Count Promotions promoted show at Atak�y Athletics Arena, Istanbul,  taking place on 27/04/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Southern Europe Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Onur Back Ulusoy (15(14) - 1) who hails from Adana, Turkey and Gyes Zervas(13(2) - 0 - 2 - 1(NC)) from Athens, Greece.  Both Ulusoy and Zervas weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mehmed Ihsanoglu, and the three ringside judges are Onur Yildirim, Tolga Basharan and Mehmed Ihsanoglu.  

Round 1: 

Zervas lands two jab's to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Ulusoy closes the distance.  Ulusoy sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Ulusoy is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Ulusoy throws a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Ulusoy cuts off the ring, trapping Zervas on the ropes.  Ulusoy digs in a firm left hook to Zervas's body.  Ulusoy attempts to land a left hook, but Zervas blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Zervas connects with a left uppercut.  
Zervas steps to the outside and lands a spiteful jab.  
Ulusoy steps inside and manages to force Zervas onto the ropes.  Zervas is on target with a left hook.  
Zervas attempts to land a left hook, but Ulusoy blocks the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut to Zervas's ribs.  
Ulusoy drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Ulusoy lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Ulusoy advances into close range.  Ulusoy is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Ulusoy lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He then lands three consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body, KNOCKING ZERVAS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  It looks like Zervas has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Ulusoy lands a jab, left hook and a jab to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Zervas almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Ulusoy lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Zervas recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Ulusoy lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Zervas feints a cross, but Ulusoy ignores the feint and responds with a right hook.  
Zervas tries to keep the action at long range and hits home with a cross.  
Ulusoy lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Ulusoy attempts to land a right hook, but Zervas blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
It looks like Zervas has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Zervas tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Zervas quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Ulusoy hits home with an overhand left.

Ulusoy is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  He then lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Zervas almost instantly recovers.
