Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at Omsk Arena, Omsk,  taking place on 12/04/2024:

Clearly Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Rossiya 2, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Jeremy Egerton (7 - 0) who hails from Manchester, UK and Timofei Popoff(1 - 1 - 2) from Saratov, Russia.  Egerton weighed in at 122 pounds, while Popoff weighed in at 121 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Dmitri Markin, and the three ringside judges are Viktor Tsybulnikov, Viktor Tsybulnikov and Gennady Golubev.  

Round 1:

Egerton forces Popoff to retreat onto the ropes.  Egerton lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Egerton senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Popoff and just needs the right shot.  Egerton digs in a weighty right uppercut to his opponents body.  POPOFF IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 7.  
Egerton lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND POPOFF IS DOWN!  The ref immediately waves off the fight...he's seen enough!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Egerton!
