Liberatore Ceci vs Angel Gordillo

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Bob Martinez Sports Center, Tampa,  taking place on 19/04/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Liberatore Ceci (4 - 0) who hails from Albany, USA and Angel Gordillo(5 - 6 - 3) from Caracas, Venezuela.  Both Ceci and Gordillo weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Davie Riquelme, and the three ringside judges are Sean Carmona, Daniel Wright and Robert Armstrong.  

Round 1: 

Gordillo finds the target with a jab.  
Gordillo is looking to close the distance.  Ceci lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.

Gordillo cuts off the ring, trapping Ceci in the blue corner.  Gordillo throws a left hook, but Ceci holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Gordillo pushes his forearm into Ceci's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Gordillo about fouling.

Gordillo pivots to the side of his opponent.  Ceci throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.
