Waqar Akhtar vs Ali Azad

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Iran-Tehran promoted show at Tehran Kasuri, Tehran,  taking place on 21/04/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Iran-Tehran Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on IRIB, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Waqar Akhtar (7 - 4 - 1) who hails from Tehran, Iran and Ali Azad(6 - 0) from Tehran, Iran.  Akhtar weighed in at 118 pounds, while Azad weighed in at 117 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Umair Kazi, and the three ringside judges are Irfan Hussain, Waleed Basher and Irfan Hussain.
