Nori Fukui vs Raiden Matsuno

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Tokyo promoted show at Dai Tano Gym, Tokyo,  taking place on 22/04/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Tokyo Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Nori Fukui (6 - 6 - 3) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Raiden Matsuno(9 - 4 - 4) from Tokyo, Japan.  Both Fukui and Matsuno weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Isamu Shibuya, and the three ringside judges are Naoki Morita, Isamu Kuno and Kyo Arima.  

Round 1: 

Matsuno closes the distance and hits home with a right uppercut.  
Matsuno gets on the inside.  Fukui lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Matsuno is looking to close the distance and forces Fukui to back into the blue corner.  Matsuno sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Fukui attempts to land a left hook, but Matsuno sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.

Fukui is looking to keep his distance.  Fukui feints a right, and then throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Fukui lands a cross.  
Fukui pivots to the right of his opponent.  Matsuno hits home with a left hook.
