Guido Raso vs Jason Heffernan

Boxing Daily Report from the Mr. Vicious promoted show at National Stadium, Dublin,  taking place on 11/05/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Guido Raso (3 - 0) who hails from Matamoros, Mexico and Jason Heffernan(10 - 5 - 2) from Dublin, Ireland.  Both Raso and Heffernan weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Michael Dillon, and the three ringside judges are Joshua MacCarthy, Shamus Quirke and Leeroy MacEwan.  

Round 1: 

Raso lands a cross followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Raso gets on the inside and digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Raso advances into close range and lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  Raso clinches his opponent.  Raso is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Raso about fouling.

Raso gets on the inside.  Raso quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a sharp right hook into his opponents body.

Heffernan switches the action to the outside and tries to land a jab, but Raso blocks the shot and counters with a firm cross.
