Waqar Firman vs Dennis McCaskey

Boxing Daily Report from the Ten Count Promotions promoted show at Atak�y Athletics Arena, Istanbul,  taking place on 27/04/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Waqar Firman (11(9) - 0) who hails from Ugep, Nigeria and Dennis McCaskey(6 - 6(1) - 1) from Leeds, UK.  Firman weighed in at 168 pounds, while McCaskey weighed in at 167 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Mehmed Ihsanoglu, and the three ringside judges are Tolga Basharan, Mehmed Ihsanoglu and Onur Yildirim.  

Round 1: 

Firman digs in a sharp left hook to McCaskey's body.  
Firman tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.

Firman lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Firman ties up his opponent.  Firman tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits McCaskey's kidney. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Firman.  
Firman lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
McCaskey throws a right hook, but Firman holds on to his opponent.  Firman leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Firman pushes his forearm into McCaskey's face.  The referee warns Firman and breaks the clinch.  
Firman is on target with a potent right hook to his opponents ribcage.  IT LOOKS LIKE MCCASKEY WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Firman holds on to his opponent.  Firman leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, McCaskey pushes his forearm into Firman's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  McCaskey almost instantly recovers. 
Firman manages to force McCaskey onto the ropes.  Firman lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Firman hits home with a left hook.  
Firman drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  
McCaskey closes the distance.  Firman lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Firman tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
McCaskey throws a left hook, but Firman clinches his opponent.  McCaskey tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Firman's kidney. Firman leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Firman lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Firman gets on the inside and forces McCaskey to back into the ropes.  Firman lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  McCaskey almost instantly recovers. 
Firman connects with a solid left hook.  
Firman lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Firman lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Firman lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Firman quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Firman lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  Firman clinches his opponent.  Firman leans on his opponent using all his weight. McCaskey is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Firman's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Firman lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He then lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Firman is on target with a right uppercut to McCaskey's ribcage.  
Firman lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.

Firman lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES MCCASKEY!  He manages to get up at 4.  McCaskey recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Firman lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Firman lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a cross to the head.  Firman attempts to land a left hook, but McCaskey dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Firman sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a cross.

Firman drives a right hook into McCaskey's ribs.  
Firman lands a jab.
