Azam Sinai vs Satoshi Morikawa

Boxing Daily Report from the Glove Shack promoted show at Esforta Arena, Hachioji,  taking place on 20/05/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky-A Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Azam Sinai (12(2) - 2 - 2) who hails from Shiraz, Iran and Satoshi Morikawa(12 - 4) from Amagasaki, Japan.  Both Sinai and Morikawa weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Keiichi Iida, and the three ringside judges are Yuji Mihara, Kaede Tsuchida and Hikaru Mikami.  

Round 1: 

Morikawa steps inside.  Sinai lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Sinai steps inside and hits home with a left hook.  
Sinai is on target with a right hook.  Sinai clinches his opponent.  Morikawa is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Morikawa about fouling.  
Sinai walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Sinai lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the body.  Sinai clinches his opponent.  Sinai pushes his forearm into Morikawa's face.  The ref breaks Sinai's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Morikawa tries to land a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Sinai lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Morikawa tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Morikawa attempts to land a left hook, but Sinai slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Sinai is looking to close the distance.  Sinai sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a stinging left uppercut.  
Sinai steps inside and is on target with a solid left uppercut to Morikawa's ribs.  
Sinai drives a right hook into Morikawa's ribs.  
Sinai lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Sinai ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Sinai pushes his forearm into Morikawa's face.  The referee warns Sinai and breaks the clinch.  
Sinai quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Morikawa lands a stinging left hook.  
Sinai throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Morikawa is on target with a right hook to Sinai's ribs.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Morikawa's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Morikawa's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
