Boxing Daily Report from the Quick Tan Promotions promoted show at Barnyard Theatre, Johannesburg,  taking place on 27/04/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Shevon Phaahla (4 - 0) who hails from Tembisa, South Africa and Rivaldo Mpontshane(2 - 2 - 2) from Johannesburg, South Africa.  Both Phaahla and Mpontshane weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Barry Khuzwayo, and the three ringside judges are Luvolwethu Khumalo, Clinton Nyauza and Ubanwa Koranteng.  

Round 1: 

Mpontshane advances into close range.  Phaahla pivots to the side of his opponent and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.
