Duante Ssegwanyi vs Tariq Farooqui

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Uganda-Kampala District promoted show at Kampala Mahdavi, Kampala,  taking place on 03/05/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Uganda Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on UTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Duante Ssegwanyi (7 - 2) who hails from Lira, Uganda and Tariq Farooqui(8 - 4) from Kampala, Uganda.  Both Ssegwanyi and Farooqui weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Ludigomkasa, and the three ringside judges are John Wabwiremangen, Amer Allee and Lloyd Araptany.
