Montenegro Villamar vs Ollie Albert

Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Montreal's Gym, Montreal,  taking place on 27/04/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Montenegro Villamar (8 - 0) who hails from Lima, Peru and Ollie Albert(7 - 0 - 1) from Ottawa, Canada.  Both Villamar and Albert weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Mostyn, and the three ringside judges are Granger Hinault, Louis Gillespie and Elliot Girardot.  

Round 1: 

Albert pivots to the left of his opponent.  Albert throws a right hook, but Villamar holds on to his opponent.  Albert pushes his forearm into Villamar's face.  The ref breaks Villamar's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
