Edward Kenrick vs Phil Thomason

Boxing Daily Report from the T5 Promotions promoted show at T5 Gym, North Shore,  taking place on 19/04/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Edward Kenrick (1 - 0) who hails from Auckland, New Zealand and Phil Thomason(3 - 4 - 3) from Wellington, New Zealand.  Kenrick weighed in at 112 pounds, while Thomason weighed in at 111 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Dave Loar, and the three ringside judges are Matthew Chisholm, Corey Hopper and Billy Nesmith.  

Round 1: 

Kenrick closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.
