Asif Abdo vs Nori Koda

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Shree Chhatrapati Shivaji Sports Complex Boxing Arena, Pune,  taking place on 04/05/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Asif Abdo (3 - 0) who hails from Mumbai, India and Nori Koda(6 - 8 - 3) from Hiroshima, Japan.  Both Abdo and Koda weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Shayan Haque, and the three ringside judges are Hassan Hares, Darshan Devshah and Jasvinder Kapoor.  

Round 1:

Abdo sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Abdo is looking to close the distance and hits home with a left uppercut.  
Koda throws a right hook, but Abdo clinches his opponent.  Abdo throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Abdo about fouling.  
Koda attempts to land a jab, but Abdo blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Koda throws a left hook, but Abdo holds on to his opponent.  Abdo is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Koda tries to step out of his opponents range.  Abdo is on target with an overhand right.  
Koda circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Abdo finds the target with a jab.

Abdo throws a left hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Abdo holds on to his opponent.  Abdo tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Koda behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Abdo.  
Abdo is looking to close the distance and drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.
