John Noon vs Fraser Malley

Boxing Daily Report from the Ten Count Promotions promoted show at Hull City Hall, Hull,  taking place on 04/05/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are John Noon (5 - 0) who hails from Manchester, UK and Fraser Malley(9 - 9 - 3) from London, UK.  Both Noon and Malley weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is James Brys, and the three ringside judges are Peter MacQuarrie, Jonathan Duane and Peter MacQuarrie.  

Round 1: 

Noon closes the distance.  Noon pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Malley switches the action to the outside.  Noon hits home with a stiff jab.

Malley pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut.

Noon walks Malley into a corner.  Noon lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Noon lowers his guard, attempting to draw a lead.  Malley tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Noon feints a jab, fooling Malley into throwing a left uppercut counter.  Noon avoids the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Malley pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Noon steps inside and is on target with a left hook.  
Noon lands a left hook.  
Malley tries to keep the action at long range.  Noon lands a straight 1 - 2.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Malley's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Malley's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.
