Sergeant Bayne vs Chris Travis

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Expo Hall, Tampa,  taking place on 17/05/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the IRBF Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on DAZN, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Sergeant Bayne (7 - 4(2) - 5) who hails from Douala, Cameroon and Chris Travis(14(5) - 3) from Joliet, USA.  Both Bayne and Travis weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dale Salvatierra, and the three ringside judges are Sam Dickins, Fanuco Onate and Ian Mortland.  

Round 1: 

Travis gets on the inside and lands a left hook.  
Travis quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Travis advances into close range and throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Travis ties up his opponent.  Travis is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Bayne tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Travis manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Travis hits home with a left hook.  Travis ties up his opponent.  Travis is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Travis lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Travis clinches his opponent.  Travis pushes his forearm into Bayne's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Travis.  
Travis lands a left uppercut.  Travis tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Travis forces Bayne to retreat into the corner.  Travis lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Travis pivots to the side of his opponent.  Travis lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  Travis clinches his opponent.  Travis leans on his opponent using all his weight. Travis pushes his forearm into Bayne's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Travis about fouling.
