Lorenzo Gamero vs Vicente Villalon

Boxing Daily Report from the Cherry picking promotion’s promoted show at Estadio F.A.B, Buenos Aires,  taking place on 11/05/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Lorenzo Gamero (5 - 0) who hails from Buenos Aires, Argentina and Vicente Villalon(5 - 5 - 5) from Buenos Aires, Argentina.  Both Gamero and Villalon weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ponce Ferro, and the three ringside judges are Quinto Salomon, Olindo Rolon and Guillermo Enriquez.  

Round 1: 

Gamero digs in a right hook to Villalon's ribs.  
Villalon throws a right hook, but Gamero holds on to his opponent.  Gamero is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Gamero manouvers Villalon into the blue corner.  Villalon throws a left uppercut, but Gamero clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Gamero pushes his forearm into Villalon's face.  The ref breaks Gamero's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Villalon is looking to keep his distance.  Gamero lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Gamero gets on the inside.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Gamero dabs at his face checking for damage.  Gamero has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Gamero manages to force Villalon into a neutral corner.  Gamero lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Gamero digs in a left hook to his opponents body.

Gamero steps inside and throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Villalon manouvers Gamero onto the ropes.  Villalon connects with a cross.  
Gamero is looking to close the distance.  Gamero sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Villalon throws a right hook, but Gamero holds on to his opponent.  Villalon is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Villalon finds the target with a jab.  
Gamero steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Villalon pivots to the side of his opponent.  Villalon tries to land a right hook, but Gamero slips the shot and counters with a right hook.

Villalon forces Gamero to back into the ropes.  Villalon is on target with a jab.  
Villalon pivots to the left of his opponent.  Villalon throws a right hook, but Gamero clinches his opponent.  Gamero is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Gamero to stop fouling.
