Dave Connolly vs Lorenzo Palomarez

Boxing Daily Report from the Rattlesnake Promotions promoted show at Palladium Ballroom, Dallas,  taking place on 27/04/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Dave Connolly (6 - 0) who hails from New York City, USA and Lorenzo Palomarez(4 - 3 - 1) from Guadalupe, Mexico.  Connolly weighed in at 111 pounds and 11 ounces, while Palomarez weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joel Abraham, and the three ringside judges are David Smyth, Harry Burwick and Elliot Morgans.  

Round 1: 

Connolly steps away from his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Connolly gets on the inside.  Connolly lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Palomarez wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Connolly dabs at his face checking for damage.

Palomarez steps inside.  Connolly pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Connolly sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a sharp right hook.  
Connolly pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Connolly lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Palomarez manages to force Connolly into a corner.  Palomarez quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Connolly lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Palomarez closes the distance.  Connolly lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Connolly lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Connolly pivots to the side of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Palomarez is looking to close the distance.  Connolly lands a right hook, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Connolly lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.

Connolly steps away from his opponent.  Connolly is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Palomarez attempts to land a cross, but Connolly blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Connolly steps away from his opponent.  Connolly feints a left, and then lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Connolly is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.
