Verity Piat vs Rex Wathen

Boxing Daily Report from the Goose Hollow Promotions promoted show at SEFCU Arena, Albany,  taking place on 15/05/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the North American Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Verity Piat (8 - 0 - 1) who hails from Port-au-Prince, Haiti and Rex Wathen(18(6) - 0) from Norman, USA.  Both Piat and Wathen weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jake Bargas, and the three ringside judges are James Daley, Mark Protheroe and Gareth Frost.  

Round 1: 

Wathen manages to force Piat into the red corner.  Wathen lands a left hook to the head followed by two right hook's to the body.
