Angel Florin vs Luis Casado

Boxing Daily Report from the Goose Hollow Promotions promoted show at SEFCU Arena, Albany,  taking place on 15/05/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Americas Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Angel Florin (13(2) - 1 - 1) who hails from Ponce, Puerto Rico and Luis Casado(15(8) - 2 - 1) from Mar del Plata, Argentina.  Both Florin and Casado weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Protheroe, and the three ringside judges are James Daley, Jake Bargas and Gareth Frost.  

Round 1: 

Florin steps away from his opponent and attempts to land a cross, but Casado slips the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Florin is looking to keep his distance and drives a stiff jab into his opponents face.

As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Casado dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Casado drives a firm right uppercut into Florin's ribs.  Casado ties up his opponent.  Casado is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Casado throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the punch.  Casado holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Casado pushes his forearm into Florin's face.  The referee warns Casado and breaks the clinch.
