Soner Sarigul vs Rehan Hamdy

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Egypt-Cairo promoted show at Gezira Sporting Club, Cairo,  taking place on 14/05/2024:

Clearly AI Egypt-Cairo have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Middle East Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Modern Sport, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Soner Sarigul (10(5) - 1) who hails from Izmir, Turkey and Rehan Hamdy(12(1) - 3 - 1) from Cairo, Egypt.  Both Sarigul and Hamdy weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rehan Farra, and the three ringside judges are Atif Charobim, Waqar Marzouk and Malik Saba.  

Round 1:

It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Sarigul.  That has caused a minor cut in the corner of the right eye.  .  
Hamdy drives a left uppercut into Sarigul's body.  Hamdy attempts to land a left hook, but Sarigul sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Hamdy throws a right hook, but Sarigul ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Hamdy pushes his forearm into Sarigul's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
