Owen Hyndman vs John McBain

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at Frank Gym, Manchester,  taking place on 10/05/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Owen Hyndman (7 - 0) who hails from London, UK and John McBain(6 - 4) from London, UK.  Both Hyndman and McBain weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jack Keefe, and the three ringside judges are Louis Atkins, Irfan Assaf and Owen Wallace.  

Round 1: 

McBain sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Hyndman finds the target with a jab.  
Hyndman lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Hyndman lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
McBain steps to the outside.  Hyndman feints a cross, and then lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
McBain hits home with a left uppercut.  
Hyndman closes the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Hyndman closes the distance and drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  
Hyndman lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Hyndman has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Hyndman hits home with a stinging right hook.  
Hyndman walks McBain onto the ropes.  Hyndman is on target with a right hook.  
Hyndman steps inside and is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Hyndman sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  McBain connects with a cross.  
Hyndman sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Hyndman lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Hyndman is looking to close the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Hyndman lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...McBain's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  McBain's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  McBain's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.
