Rafael Zendejas vs Rogelio Tio

Boxing Daily Report from the Atsu Promotions promoted show at Santo Domingo Este Amaro, Santo Domingo Este,  taking place on 17/05/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Dominican Republic-Santo Domingo Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on CERTV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rafael Zendejas (15 - 1) who hails from Santo Domingo Oeste, Dominican Republic and Rogelio Tio(12 - 5) from Santo Domingo Oeste, Dominican Republic.  Zendejas weighed in at 118 pounds, while Tio weighed in at 117 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Selestino Tijerina, and the three ringside judges are Xaverius Bras, Javier Renteria and Xeres Ceniceros.
