Macario Rigor vs Angel Islas

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Costa Rica-San Jose promoted show at San Jose Galano, San Jose,  taking place on 20/05/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Costa Rica-San Jose Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Repretel Channel 11, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Macario Rigor (7 - 0 - 1) who hails from San Jose, Costa Rica and Angel Islas(9 - 3) from San Jose, Costa Rica.  Both Rigor and Islas weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Baltasar Cecilio, and the three ringside judges are Loredo Mesquita, Hernan Lovato and Vicente Guzman.  

Round 1: 

Rigor cuts off the ring, trapping Islas in a neutral corner.  Rigor digs in a left hook to Islas's body.
