Yasin Fareedi vs Penda Dewornu

Boxing Daily Report from the African Fusion promoted show at Prison Canteen, Accra,  taking place on 20/05/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Ghana-Greater Accra Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on bTV Action, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Yasin Fareedi (16 - 1) who hails from Accra, Ghana and Penda Dewornu(14(2) - 2) from Accra, Ghana.  Fareedi weighed in at 175 pounds, while Dewornu weighed in at 174 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Noel Koranteng, and the three ringside judges are Nabulung Berko, Louis Kugblenu and Joe Kessels.
