Mel Eccles vs George Williams

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Guyana-North promoted show at Georgetown Jones, Georgetown,  taking place on 20/05/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Guyana-North Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on NCN, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mel Eccles (3 - 0) who hails from Georgetown, Guyana and George Williams(6 - 2 - 4) from New Amsterdam, Guyana.  Eccles weighed in at 175 pounds, while Williams weighed in at 174 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Sam Kinnard, and the three ringside judges are Chris Halley, Jack Palin and Gareth Neild.
